Vaccinated people should have various incentives in the society, - Amiran Gamkrelidze, director of the National Center for Disease Control, told TV-Formula.
According to him, he is in favor of giving certain "privileges" to vaccinated people. Amiran Gamkrelidze notes, that some incentives have been submitted to the Coordination Council and they will be discussed.
“We support to give “privilege” to those people, who have taken two COVID-jabs and give them COVID-passport. There are already many so-called COVID-free hotels, restaurants, hospitals. This is a serious privilege. Because when a person goes to the clinic and knows that everyone is vaccinated, he knows that there is less risk of infection," said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
He also spoke about the introduction of COVID-passports and explained that such documents will not only include information about vaccinations.
The head of NCDC declares, that COVID-passport will include information if a person has recovered from coronavirus or done a PCR test in the last 72 or 48 hours.
“IT group of NCDC is working on that and we will submit this initiative to the Coordinating Council in ten days," he said.
