Vaso Abashidze State New Theater will reach out to the regions, announced artistic director Davit Doiashvili on Thursday.
“Along with people, Georgian culture is being arrested,” Doiashvili said.
He noted that despite the theater’s efforts to dialogue with the prosecutor’s office—including recording videos, stopping performances, and collecting signatures—they received no response.
“We will go everywhere and show what the theatre can do. Our friends will join us, and we’ll spread across the regions simultaneously; chase the theater, chase…,” Doiashvili emphasized.
