Vietnamese Vice President’s visit to Georgia is of historic significance and creates new opportunities to strengthen political and economic cooperation between the two countries, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said.
Bochorishvili noted that high-level visits between the two countries had never previously taken place, making the visit an important opportunity to discuss the development of bilateral relations. She also highlighted plans to open a Georgian embassy in Vietnam as a significant step toward deepening ties.
The minister emphasized the strategic locations of both countries and Vietnam’s growing economy, saying these factors provide a strong foundation for expanding cooperation across various sectors.
During the visit, the Vietnamese vice president is scheduled to meet with Georgia’s president, prime minister and parliamentary speaker. Discussions will focus on key political issues and prospects for further bilateral cooperation.
The vice president is accompanied by a large Vietnamese business delegation, which Bochorishvili said reflects Vietnam’s interest in strengthening economic ties with Georgia.
