რთველი

As part of Georgia’s “Vintage 2025” harvest, wine enterprises have processed up to 16,000 tons of grapes as of September 9, according to the National Wine Agency.

The harvest season in Kakheti traditionally began in Dedoplistskaro municipality, and grape picking is now actively underway in Sighnaghi and Dedoplistskaro. The Agency noted that harvesting in Gurjaani municipality will intensify as soon as weather conditions improve.

More than 300 wine companies are registered with the Coordination Headquarters and are participating in the collection and processing process.

This year, the government decided that the State Enterprise “Crop Management Company” will collect surplus grapes at differentiated prices:

  • Saperavi grapes in Kakheti – 1.50 GEL per kg
  • Other wine grape varieties permitted by law – 1.20 GEL per kg
  • Substandard or damaged grapes – 1.00 GEL per kg

Unlike previous years, private wine companies will no longer receive subsidies under the new policy.
