Visitor activity at Mtatsminda Park grew significantly in 2025, with spending increasing by 50% compared to the previous year. According to the park’s Head of Marketing and Sales, Ia Tarkhan-Mouravi, the rise was driven by more users engaging with the park’s payment system and services.
A key factor behind this growth was the full operation of the newly opened cable car, launched in October 2024. It made access easier and attracted strong interest from both tourists and locals. While about 70% of visitors are tourists, a notable trend has emerged: locals prefer the cable car, whereas tourists tend to use the funicular, balancing visitor flow.
The park has also continued investing in infrastructure, including annual renovations, safety checks, and landscape improvements. Dining options have expanded with a new food court at the upper cable car station, adding seven venues that cater to diverse tastes. Future development will focus more on entertainment attractions.
Mtatsminda Park remains active in hosting events, with a busy schedule planned for the season. Major highlights include the Tbilisi Adventure Run on April 26 and the Wine Festival on May 18. The event season is set to begin in late April, with an even more diverse program expected in 2026.
