The National Bank of Georgia published a report about the current tendencies of resident commercial banks' loan portfolios. According to the document, the value of loans issued by commercial banks in September 2024 increased by 1.69 billion GEL or by 2.93%, compared to the previous month to constitute 59.37 billion GEL by the end of September 2024. The volume of loans in national currency increased by 741.66 GEL by 2.93% 9n the same period.
By the end of September 2024, the total volume of national currency-denominated loans to resident legal entities issued by commercial banks amounted to 10.03 billion GEL and foreign currency-denominated loans constituted 16.99 billion GEL.
During September 2024, the volume of lending to the resident household sector increased by 1.37% or 410.52 million GEL and constituted 30.47 billion GEL by the End of September 2024.
Larization ratio for total loans constituted 56.10% by the end of September 2024 and increased by 0.0002 percentage points compared to the end of August 2024.
