Water consumption limit may be set for industrial enterprises
It is possible that water consumption limits will be set for industrial enterprises. The updated version of Tbilisi City Master Plan read that “it is appropriate to set for all industrial enterprises drinking and service water consumption limit and fines for every unit of water consumed above this limit”. Besides, in the Master Plan it is stated that the Tbilisi Sea represents an integral part of the capital’s water supply system and is a facility of strategic importance. Therefore, any development, taking place in the immediate vicinity to the Sea or implying any possible impact either on water quality or on water supply operational rates, should be approved, considering the priorities of Tbilisi Sea protection conditions.
