Waterland, manufacturer of mineral, fresh water and lemonade, plans to switch to waste-free production. "We have ambitions to be one of the leading companies in the Georgian private sector, which will reduce industrial waste to zero," Nana Goguadze, Director of Product Development and Innovation told BM.GE.
To implement this plan, Waterland plans to equip the production facilities and replace electricity with solar energy, for which it will invest a total of USD 195,000.
"By the end of 2022, we will purchase equipment worth USD 85,000 that will process wastewater. We will use the obtained water for further irrigation and fertilizer. Our goal is to replace electricity with solar energy, for which we will buy solar panels with an investment of USD 110 thousand," - said Nana Goguadze.
Waterland currently produces 35 types of natural mineral water, carbonated water and Georgian lemonade. The plant produces 10 thousand petty bottle per hour and - 6 thousand glass bottles, the prices of which range from 70 tetri to 1.3 GEL.
"Because glass bottles are in high demand for export, we have purchased additional technologies, which are on the way and will be used in our production soon. With the help of new technologies, we will be able to produce 12 thousand glass bottles per hour. As a result, Waterland will export 2 million bottles of products annually," said Nana Goguadze.
The company Waterland started operating in Natakhtari in 2017, in which the investment amounted to 3 million GEL.
