The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, is responding to and criticizing the amendments made to the Administrative Offenses Code by the Parliament on the social platform X.
“Preventive detention: Police can now detain individuals preventively, assuming they may commit an offense based on prior violations. Detention for court appearance: Police can detain individuals solely to ensure their appearance in court,” the President wrote.
In addition, Salome Zurabishvili is responding to the ongoing protests in the country and writes that Georgia is waiting for a Georgian spring.
“We are having an unusual Russian winter in Georgia but we will have a Georgian spring !!,” the President wrote.
