PEGAS Touristik Georgia is officially entering the inbound tourism market, aiming to increase tourist flows into the country. As the company’s director, Salome Beraia, told BM.GE, the company, traditionally focused on outbound tourism and operating in 23 countries, now plans to leverage its global network to actively promote Georgia as a destination.

“We have actually been involved in the inbound market for quite some time. Last year, we planned to intensify our efforts, but due to the instability that occurred during that period, we temporarily suspended our campaigns. Now we have returned to this direction,” Beraia said.

According to her, PEGAS Touristik has the capability to effectively utilize its international portfolio to bring travelers to Georgia.

“We can bring tourists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Tunisia. Our office in Tunisia is highly successful, and we want to achieve the same results in Georgia by bringing tourists who do not require a visa to enter the country,” Beraia explained.

Beraia noted that signs of growth in inbound tourism are already visible. Based on early analysis, indicators for the New Year holiday period appear positive.

“We reviewed the statistics, while the numbers are not the highest compared to last year, the signs are very encouraging. This motivates us to invest even more resources and effort into inbound tourism,” she added.

PEGAS Touristik Georgia aims to use its broad international presence to support Georgia’s tourism sector and attract new visitor segments from diverse global markets.
