Resan Kikava, CEO of Expo Georgia Exhibition Center, declares that the biggest challenge for business today is uncertainty and instability, which make long-term planning nearly impossible. Speaking in an interview with BMGTV, Kikava noted that “living in such a state is difficult,” emphasizing that optimism alone cannot replace the need for a stable and predictable environment.
“Injustice, violations of the constitution, and conflicts, all of these affect every sphere of life,” Kikava said. “Business loves long-term planning, but now this is impossible. We can fool ourselves and say that in the end, everything will be fine and the end of the fairy tale is good, but business is pragmatic.” He added that, for the private sector, a “happy ending” has no meaning without real stability and legal order.
Despite the current challenges, Kikava stressed that businesses must continue to operate and adapt. He pointed to Expo Georgia’s sectoral exhibitions and forums as examples of resilience and commitment to supporting local industries even in uncertain times.
“We are working to minimize risks, strengthen our efforts, and help various industries through our platforms,” Kikava explained. According to him, ongoing collaboration and dialogue among businesses are essential to maintaining momentum and preparing for a more predictable future.
