Businessman Resan Kikava links the problems caused by the natural disaster in Guria to the state's lack of management knowledge.
As he told TV program "Analytics", it is a fact that people could not be protected from snow, which means that the responsible persons in GD party do not know how to manage such natural disasters.
"The main problem is in management, which is a systemic problem - there is a lack of system and accountability; due to lack of management knowledge, it's difficult to handle such natural disasters and how to implement their management.
When you don't know how to manage, then you look for someone to blame everything on. First - there is centralized management, meaning how much everything was implemented in a centralized way. Everyone waits for a call from above because we have one vertical structure and the responsible person on site has no authority to make decisions.
The difference between the Shovi tragedy and Guria's natural disaster is that now SMS messages were sent to warn the population about the expected disaster, while back then, they didn't warn us," - stated Resan Kikava.
For several days now, there has been a natural disaster in Guria. The heavy snowfall has also claimed lives in the region. Due to snow, transportation is almost impossible, emergency and urgent care brigade calls are also complicated, and several villages are cut off from the outside world.
