Georgian winery Chelti expects strong growth in the UK market in 2026, according to Commercial Director Ana Mirianashvili. The forecast is linked to a newly signed agreement with a major retail chain, where Chelti wines are set to appear starting this summer.
The UK has become a priority market for the company, supported by active marketing efforts over the past two years. Chelti’s participation in London Fashion Week has helped raise international awareness of both the brand and Georgian wine.
Europe remains Chelti’s main export region, with Germany as a traditionally strong market, while growth has also been recorded in France, Spain, and the UK. In Asia, the company is focusing on China, where it has already established a warehouse and distribution network despite a general decline in wine consumption.
Global conflicts and logistical challenges continue to affect exports, particularly in Asia, where shipping times have doubled. Rising transportation costs have already led to price increases in Asia, and the company expects similar adjustments may soon be necessary in Europe.
