Zviad Toidze, Director of the construction company "Insi", told BM.GE that he expects a compromise during today’s meeting with Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze.

The discussion is expected to focus on the minister’s new initiative to abolish the so-called “white lists” used in the construction sector. According to Toidze, the meeting is part of ongoing weekly consultations between the ministry and construction companies.

“To be honest, the cancellation of the ‘white list’ could harm qualified companies that use it in good faith. Their resources for ongoing projects may be reduced, which could delay or shrink planned projects,” Toidze explained.

He added that a compromise could involve making the criteria for the “white list” more complex or finding another solution that balances fairness and efficiency. “The main thing is that the discussion continues, and I think we will agree on some kind of compromise option,” he said.
