Bakery chain "August" finished 2022 with a new enterprise. As the company noted, they doubled production capacity and had 30% growth. According to the co-founder of the company, Kristine Morchiladze, they are starting 2023 with a different business plan and will focus on corporate orders.
According to her, they currently cooperate with 15 companies, and in 2023 their number is planned to increase to 70.
"In October 2022, we opened a new enterprise, equipped with German and Italian equipment, which has the ability to process up to 5,000 bread-cookies per day. But, at this stage we are processing 2-3 thousand bread-cookies. Along with the enterprise, there is also a sales facility, and in total, we employed 52 new staff in this branch. The doubled performance gave us the opportunity to work on a new business plan, which involves B2B activities, receiving corporate orders and organizing buffets. At this stage, we already cooperate with 15 companies, in January we will start working with one more large company, and in total, we plan to increase the number of partner companies to 50-70 in 2023," said Kristine Morchiladze.
August has been operating in the market since 2019 and already owns 6 branches across Tbilisi, where a total of 100 people are employed. As for the investment for the new enterprise, it amounted to GEL 0.5 million.
