Keti Ninidze, founder of the tourist facility "Family Wine Cellar – Oda" in Samegrelo, spoke on BMGTV’s Women’s Narrative program about the difficulties of implementing business plans under the current circumstances in the country.
According to her, the facility had planned to carry out many important projects, including improving infrastructure, expanding the winery, creating new tourist products, and adding a storage facility. However, due to the present reality, all these initiatives have been suspended.
“While the country is in this uncertain state, we cannot make any plans yet. We have many plans, including expanding the winery in the direction of infrastructure, production, creating new tourist products and adding a place to stay, but we cannot do anything, because even taking out a basic loan is associated with very high risks,” Ninidze explained.
She also underlined the broader atmosphere of uncertainty, pointing out the risks faced by citizens for expressing civil positions.
“If we look at it, people like me are simply sitting in prison for expressing their civil position without any evidence. Accordingly, we do not know whether we will be out tomorrow or not. Therefore, we are waiting for the country to truly calm down and develop,” she added.
