Giorgi Chichinadze, Acting Director of the Pension Agency, says that the savings in the fund exceed 6.5 billion GEL. He provided journalists with updated data at the presentation of the agency's 2024 activity report.
"According to current data, we have more than 6.5 billion GEL in savings. Of Which, withdrawals exceed 1.5 billion GEL. Approximately 20,000 pensioners have already benefited from them. This amount totals approximately 70 million GEL," noted Giorgi Chichinadze.
He also spoke about the changes that will come into effect from May 1. The Acting Director of the Pension Agency explains that the declaration database of the Pension Agency and the Revenue Service is being unified. The declaration will be made to the Revenue Service and will be the source of information for the Pension Agency. The system will be automated, which, he expects, will ensure that companies are less likely to evade their obligations and make fewer errors.
