The educational center, which is under construction on the territory of the old Coca-Cola factory will receive the first students from the fall of 2022.

According to Sofia Chkonia, the founder and organizer of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi, they have problems in finding staff for the center, so the local staff will be trained by invited experts.

"Unfortunately, we have a problem with the staff, because fashion industry in Georgia is not developed with the same methods and technologies as in other countries of the world, so we decided to bring experts, professors from the world's leading schools, who will train local staff, and then they will already be employed in this school,” said Sofia Chkonia.

According to her, negotiations are underway with various international schools. In the center, professors invited from abroad will teach students fashion, design, arts, and making theatrical costumes.

"We will cooperate with them through a memorandum. At first, we want to choose one particular international school. However, everyone has their advantages and strengths. That's why we decided to bring the best ideas from everyone”, said Sofia Chkonia.

Not only an educational center will be located on the territory of the old Coca-Cola factory on Tsereteli Avenue in Tbilisi, there will be other spaces as well. For example, a film studio, a concert hall, TV spaces and a technology hub.
