Minister of Economy Natia Turnava is displeased with the delay in the Nenskra HPP project and says that the state has some questions with the investor company, because the HPP should have been built by now.
“Preliminary construction works of "Nenskra" had started. If you look at the website, roads and some other works were done there. Now, we are now negotiating with Korean investors. We are unhappy that the project has been delayed. We cannot blame the Partnership Fund, as the main investor is a Korean company and we are confident that this project will move forward. We have some questions with them - why the project has been delayed," Natia Turnava said.
According to the Minister, the state is ready to increase participation in the Nenskra HPP project.
"The state is ready to take more part in this project, because even with the example of Namakhvani and other hydro projects, we are convinced that the state should take more part in such projects, take more responsibility in order to answer the population's questions," Turnava explained.
