"We have returned to the 'lawlessness' of the 1990s," stated Levan Karalashvili, Executive Director of the "Georgian Reconstruction and Development Company," during BMGTV's program Business Weekly.
According to him, illegal groups are roaming the country, and the current government is taking us back to the 1990s, robbing our children of their future. When the show's host, Giorgi Isakadze, asked whether the media might be underreporting these issues, Karalashvili responded that it is businesses, not the media, that are holding back.
"We still have the capacity to mobilize resources. By resources, I mean finances, people, and networks. It is essential to direct these resources effectively as we approach the elections," said Karalashvili.
The Executive Director of the "Georgian Reconstruction and Development Company" also emphasized the need to create a fund to support independent media outlets and protesters who have been subjected to the regime's violence.
