Botanical Soft Drink Kai, founded with an investment of GEL 7 million, planned to make product exports from the very first day of its appearance on the market.

As Nino Bakuradze, strategic development manager of the company told TV-Program Business Morning, the company is still focused on exports.

"We hold negotiations with Great Britain, Poland and Ukraine. Moreover, we will supply our products to the Middle East and the Gulf countries from September," she said.

As soon as Kai entered the market, the demand exceeded the supply, and the company needed to find additional funding to redesign its strategy. The Botanist was assisted in this by the program TBC Startaperi, through which the company expanded its supply points.

"We have expanded the supply points with the help of program TBC Startaperi. We spend the funds to buy refrigerators. This is very important because if a company does not have its own refrigerator, it will not be able to access the networks. We have not been able to cover the whole of Georgia so far, but if there has not been TBC Startaperi program, we would not be able to cover the amount we are going through now,” explains Botanist's Strategic Development Manager.

The first botanical drink "Kai" does not stop developing and has many plans. The company's primary goal was to take 1.5% of the market, and half of the goal has been reached in two years. After the adding the development of the Diabetes line, Kai's share in the Georgian market will increase to 2%.

The company will also build its own factory within 5 years. In addition, the company plans to increase the number of their employees up to 80 by summer.
