Founder of GINO Holding, Nodar Giorgadze, says the company invests EUR 2 million annually in the development and renovation of GINO Aquapark, one of the largest recreational complexes in Georgia. Giorgadze shared this information during an interview on BMG TV.
According to the businessman, whose ventures are backed by Slovak investments, the aquapark, open since 2013, has already seen EUR 42 million in total investment. Despite this significant financial input, Giorgadze says the company has not yet generated profit from the aquapark business.
“We’ve invested EUR 42 million in building and equipping the aquapark. It includes around 500 attractions, a 4,500 m² water surface, and 5,000 cubic meters of circulating water. We offer 16 types of pools, large jacuzzis, water slides, toboggans, and exclusive zones like our VIP and Excellence birthday party area that spans 1,400 m²,” Giorgadze explained.
He emphasized that demand for the aquapark is growing rapidly, prompting continuous reinvestment.
“Every year, we invest about EUR 2 million in upgrades. Since 2012, GINO Holding has invested EUR 120 million in Georgia, across the aquapark and hotels, and we haven’t taken back a single Euro. Instead, we’re increasing our investment. Life shows us that people appreciate this type of recreation. For example, we’re currently expanding our birthday center. It currently hosts 10–12 parties a day, but demand is so high, we’re building a separate pool to improve customer experience and aim to reach 20 parties per day,” he added.
According to Giorgadze, the GINO Aquapark and Wellness Center attracts over 200,000 visitors annually, and the number of guests increases by 20–25% every year.
