Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili offered her condolences to the families of the deadly landslide victims in the Shovi resort. The President said she prayed for the survival of those still missing in the disaster zone.
According to President, the tragedy which “each Georgian citizen shares” should unite everyone.
“We know how to stand together in the face of such tragedies; we must stand together and help people in need get through this difficult time in their lives. I thank all the rescuers and citizens who did their best to save those trapped in the disaster area,” she said.
Salome Zourabichvili stressed that she personally and the presidential administration staff would get involved wherever their assistance was needed to contribute to “overcoming this tragedy.”
