A few months ago circular migration agreement was launched with Germany. As Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze noted, negotiations were held with other countries on legal employment of Georgian citizens in Greece and Cyrus as well.
The Ambassador of Greece to Georgia, Dimitrios Karabalis deeply hopes that a cooperation memorandum on legal employment of Georgian citizens in Greece will be launched in 2021, as Greece really needs seasonal workers.
As Dimitrios Karabalis noted, he met Tamar Barkalaia, Deputy Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs, when she presented a compressive plan. According to the plan, it is going to be some kind of cooperation memorandum with the same terms like the agreement, Georgia has signed with Germany.
“I know that my authorities and the Georgian Ministry of Health are in direct contact and we are looking very serious at that, because we really need seasonal workers. I hope cooperation memorandum will be launched in 2021”, Dimitrios Karabalis said.
