According to the MEP, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili is the only president legitimately elected by the Georgian people.
“The parliamentary elections were stolen. We see no other way to help Georgia than new elections. Salome Zourabichvili is the only president legitimately elected by the people until the new elections are held.
We call on member states to implement sanctions on individuals responsible for elections and violence against peaceful protesters. We urge heads of states, ministers of member states not to wait to go to Tbilisi on a European Georgia mission,” she said.
