“The second meeting of the Resistance Platform has taken place. This platform is open to all pro-European parties and those that may be formed soon, as well as to anyone who shares our core priorities: new elections and the release of prisoners of conscience,” stated former Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili.
According to Zourabichvili, the parties involved in the Resistance Platform agree with the established conditions.
“These conditions provide a pathway for parties to join the platform. Today, the coordination group addressed an urgent matter: the activities of the so-called investigative commission and the summoning of individuals. We have collectively affirmed that none of the political parties represented here will participate in this commission because it is entirely illegitimate and solely serves Russian interests. There is no justification for anyone to engage with it. Furthermore, this commission aims to instill fear; political leaders are being directly targeted to propagate the notion that ‘we will reach everyone, and you are all targets.’ This should not compel anyone to submit or succumb to fear.
We also discussed two additional topics on the agenda, one of which pertains to the internal mechanisms’ development. We will create a unified international calendar to ensure our positions are communicated promptly to various leaders and parliamentarians. This will not be a standard newsletter but rather an efficient means of conveying our political positions to all partners on time. The first such opportunity will be during the April 7 session of the European Council Assembly.
Additionally, we will establish a unified communication group, which will create our own Facebook and Twitter accounts to facilitate the news on decisions made.
Right now, the coordination members are meeting with German journalists, and we will also introduce them to the coordination group,” Zourabichvili concluded.
