Embassy of France in Georgia declares, that preparations for effective implementation of the 2019 circular migration agreement between France and Georgia are underway.

A few days ago, Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze noted, that negotiations are held with three countries on legal employment of Georgian citizens. France is included among those countries.

“This program will definitely continue. Negotiations are underway with other countries. At this stage, we hold negotiations with Bulgaria and Israel, we also have a dialogue with France about legal employment of Georgian citizens. It will not be a one-year program, it will be systematic," the minister said.

According to the Ambassador of France, France and Georgia signed an agreement on circular migration, which entered into force in early 2019.

"Preparations are underway for the effective implementation of this agreement, especially through the establishment of pilot projects. I hope to inform you about the news soon," the Ambassador of France said.

Georgian citizens are allowed to find legal employment in Germany from February 15. Registration is already started and tens of thousands of people are already registered.
