In light of Donald Trump’s recent announcements about large-scale U.S. investments in cryptocurrencies, the Web3 Armenia Foundation has issued an open letter to the Armenian government, calling for action to seize a historic opportunity for economic growth by integrating Bitcoin into the national financial system.

The non-profit Web3 Armenia Foundation addressed the open letter to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the government, and the National Assembly of Armenia, urging immediate steps in cryptocurrency regulation. The appeal was prompted by U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent statement about plans to make significant acquisitions of digital assets, particularly Bitcoin, for the American economy.

According to the foundation’s experts, Trump’s initiative to establish a national reserve of digital assets marks the beginning of a global transformation in the financial system. The U.S. aims not only to strategically acquire Bitcoin but also to create a favorable regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies, develop educational programs, and strengthen its position in the international cryptocurrency landscape.

In light of these developments, the foundation warns that Armenia risks being left behind in this wave of financial innovation if urgent measures are not taken. Experts predict that once the American initiative is implemented, Bitcoin’s price will skyrocket, and its availability in international markets will diminish.

As specific measures, the foundation proposes including Bitcoin in the national financial strategy as a key reserve asset, implementing legislative regulation in this sector, and developing a clear action plan with both investment and educational components. According to the letter’s authors, such steps could position Armenia as a leading hub for cryptocurrency technologies not only in the region but also globally.
