Wendy Morton, Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) wrote a post on her official twitter page about 2020 Parliamentary Elections in Georgia.
According to Morton, the UK agrees with OSCE (Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights) that Georgia’s election was competitive and freedoms ere respected amid allegations of pressure put on voters.
“We now call for the second round of voting to be carried out in a fair, legal way, fitting of Georgia’s outward-looking global aspirations”, Wendy Morton writes on the twitter page.
The 2020 Parliamentary Elections were held on October 31.
