What Are Tbilvino’s Plans for 2026?

ზურაბ მარგველაშვილი

Wine company Tbilvino plans to strengthen its presence on export markets in 2026 with a more active rollout of its premium, new wine collection. According to CEO Zurab Margvelashvili, the collection, produced using traditional Qvevri technology and based on the Saperavi grape variety, has already entered the UK and German markets and will launch in Canada this year. Amid global challenges, the company’s main focus remains on maintaining stable sales across its export destinations, which now exceed 25 countries.

Margvelashvili notes that 2025 was a particularly important year, marking the consolidation of the new collection in both the UK and Germany and the signing of several new international contracts. Alongside this, Tbilvino worked on optimizing its regular product assortment and strengthening its brand portfolio. The year was described as both productive and strategically successful for the company.

He also highlighted the excellent 2025 harvest. Since 2013, Tbilvino has been investing heavily in planting and developing its own vineyards, driven by the belief that wine quality begins in the vineyard. Significant resources continue to be allocated to vineyard development, and the company considers last year’s results to be among its strongest.

Looking ahead to 2026, Tbilvino aims primarily to preserve and expand its sales in highly competitive markets. The company seeks new opportunities within its existing destinations by entering additional retail points together with its distributors. The new collection is positioned as an international project targeted at the top 10–20 wine-importing countries worldwide. In Canada, where Tbilvino’s existing assortment has been sold for years, the company will begin shipping the new collection with a new partner in March.
