Logistics company "Kairos Logistics" is planning regional expansion over the next two years. The company's director, Mikheil Namadov, spoke about future plans on the air of TV-program "Business Morning".
"We are planning expansion and development over the next two years in Tbilisi and Poti. We intend to further implement regional expansion in order to attract more cargo through Georgia. The next stage will be the company's electronicization, because the e-commerce sector is growing very quickly and demand is emerging," said Mikheil Namadov.
The director of "Kairos Logistics" also spoke with BMG about the potential and risks of the warehouse and logistics sector. As he noted, the industry is growing at a rapid pace, which is mainly due to three factors.
"We have huge potential, based on several factors: Georgia is becoming a regional hub, e-commerce and demand for Class A warehouses is growing... We can say that 80% of Class B and C warehouses have already been depreciated. In addition, having warehouses in the city is no longer practical, land is also much more expensive, and this is pushing the market up," explains Namadov.
Speaking about risks, Mikhweil Namadov notes that the current geopolitical events in the world also affect this industry.
"The current geopolitical situation affects everything, including this sector. Another risk is a lack of land. We are a small country with few flat land areas, so we chose class A warehouses and built high constructions, thereby increasing efficiency. Another factor is that cases of businesses building their own warehouses are increasing," Mikheil Namadov noted.
