What Assets Does Mikheil Kavelashvili Own? – 2024 Property Declaration

Mikheil Kavelashvili submitted his 2024 property declaration, covering the period when he served as a member of the Georgian Parliament. Kavelashvili was elected President by the Electoral College on December 14, 2024, receiving 224 votes, including 211 from the Georgian Dream party, as the sole candidate.

According to the declaration, Kavelashvili earned 40,009 GEL as a parliamentary salary from January to November 2024. He had not yet received a presidential salary during this period, but it is publicly known that in 2025 his presidential salary was 175,200 GEL, increasing to 192,000 GEL annually from 2026.

Regarding assets, Kavelashvili owns only a garage registered in his name on Gabashvili Street, measuring 88 sq.m., purchased in 2007 for $22,000. His bank accounts include 47,600 GEL in a loan service account, 3,800 GEL on a credit card, and 6,400 GEL in a payroll account. Smaller amounts are held in his wife Tamar Bagrationi’s accounts. The declaration also lists assets of his wife and son, Giorgi Kavelashvili.

Liabilities include a 56,400 GEL consumer loan registered in 2023, on which he paid 10,000 GEL in 2024. Kavelashvili is required to declare his 2025 income and any major expenses by December 31, 2026.
