Beka Bekaia, managing partner of Nutrimax said in a special program on BMGTV, that the business should not become money-makers.
"It will be possible to make money even if you become part of the system, because they make money in Russia too. Building a real business will become impossible,” said Beka Bekaia while visiting BMGTV, where businesses have been discussing how the country got to the current situation and where the solution is.
According to him, the solution to the current situation in the country is a compromise, which requires courage and many courageous people.
“The main thing for a solution is probably the calming of the situation and consensus. For this, a certain group of people or one person must make some decision. How? Perhaps they must see some force to compromise. This force must include businessmen and society. Everyone must speak out, we need courageous people. We must find the courage in ourselves and bring it to the forefront, because all businesses will be left behind,” said Beka Bekaia.
As the managing partner and director of Nutrimax noted, business is done by people and the first question should be whether it is worth living in this country, and how the business is going is already secondary.
“We look at the footage, what is happening recently, hatred, fear... However, it is very good that many courageous people are taking to the streets. Here, too, courageous people are sitting [in the studio]. This is good.
What brought us to this point? - Probably because we were silent, this Soviet mentality is unfortunately still alive in us. We believe that someone will be above and if we know our place, business will be untouchable. We have been accustomed to this over the past decades. Business has become the most easily suppressed and vulnerable group. It is ingrained in everyone that one should not raise one's voice and should not protest, one should not express one's civic position.
The solution, in my opinion, is that, first of all, we should all understand that if we do not all stand at some level today, we may lose everything. Even life in this country will become impossible. Young people work in our company and everyone think to leave the country. They go to rallies, they fight, but they think that if nothing changes, we should run away. This is very depressing. I work with everyone and I tell them that we must all fight here to create a better environment,” said Beka Bekaia.
