Trade between Georgia and Bulgaria hit a record high in the last ten years in 2022.
According to official statistics, the trade turnover between the countries amounted to USD 626 million last year, the figure increased by 44.8% compared to 2021.
Exports take a major share in the trade between those countries. Last year, the country earned USD 423 million from the sale of goods in Bulgaria. This rate increased by 66.8% in 2022 and hit a record level.
Last year, copper ores and concentrates were the major exporting commodities from Georgia to Bulgaria, which made up 94.7% of the total exports.
