The company "Georgian Caviar" located in Gori plans to expand its restaurant this year. The company's founder, Alexandre Dadianidze, spoke about this with BM.GE.
The company opened its aquaculture farm back in 2003, though caviar production started later - in 2011. "Georgian Caviar" consistently employs 70 people to this day, though this number sometimes increases depending on the season. "Georgian Caviar" also opened the restaurant "Fish House" in 2019, where guests are offered both caviar and a wide assortment of fish.
Alexandre Dadianidze states in our conversation that the fish restaurant has many customers, including foreign visitors. Consequently, the establishment decided to expand the restaurant and add a new building on site this year.
"We are developing the restaurant space infrastructurally. We have the Fish House in Gori, which will have a new building added. Throughout the year, foreigners predominate from Thailand, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, and European countries, specifically from Poland, Italy, etc. We have at least 100,000 visitors annually. Therefore, we decided to expand the facility.
In over 2 months, the season will begin, after which we expect our sales to intensify," - Dadianidze said.
Additionally, a fish store is planned to open in Tbilisi by the end of the year, which is expected to be located in the Vake-Saburtalo area. According to Dadianidze, cost calculations are currently underway, after which they will know the exact investment amount.
"We plan to open the store in Tbilisi by the end of the year. About 90% of the products on display will be our production, while the rest will be imported high-quality seafood products from Spain and Belgium. We already have such a market in Gori, but in Tbilisi, we plan to open the best version of this store," - stated the company founder.
