Adjara Government Chairman and former Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze has filed a new asset declaration detailing property, bank balances, income and financial obligations held by him and his family. The declaration shows that his wife, Sopio Bakuridze, received a 119.05-square-meter apartment on Tina Iosebidze Street in Tbilisi as a gift, with the transaction recorded on March 5, 2025 at a stated cost of GEL 0.
The family also owns a 280-square-meter house in Tskneti, purchased by Bakuridze in July 2023 for $380,000, along with a property containing a building under construction. The house is mortgaged. Pataradze owns a 90.2-square-meter apartment in Kobuleti received through inheritance and a 158.77-square-meter apartment on Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue in Tbilisi, purchased for GEL 280,000. The declaration states that the family does not own an apartment in Batumi, where Pataradze currently works.
The declaration lists bank balances in GEL, US dollars and Azerbaijani manats, as well as cash savings of $3,500 held by Pataradze and $2,500 by his wife. Pataradze reported receiving $94,404 and GEL 8,479.68 in remuneration from Georgia’s Foreign Ministry in the previous year, while Bakuridze reported income from SOCAR-related positions in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The declaration also records a $36,000 annual residence rental expense, $20,450 in mortgage payments, GEL 70,000 in home renovation costs and education-related expenses for their child. According to the filing, Pataradze and his family members do not hold business interests or securities, and they do not own vehicles or other high-value movable property.
