Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia met with Asad Alam, Regional Director of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia in Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions; Ivailo V. Izvorski, Chief Economist of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia; Antonio Nucifora, Practice Manager of the World Bank for Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment.
Bilateral cooperation, current economic stance and post-pandemic progress made by Georgia towards economic and governance reforms were discussed along with plans for future at the meeting.
The meeting highlighted the significance of support demonstrated by the World Bank towards funding priority areas of the country.
Dignitaries expressed hopes towards active continuation of usual cooperation between Georgia and the World Bank.
Meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia anld Rolande Price, Regional Director of the World Bank for the South Caucasus.
