Hotel Royal Batoni was closed in Kakheti, Kvareli municipality due to the reconstruction.
According to hotel manager Alina Sarinian, "Royal Butoni" was closed on December 24, 2020 amid the pandemic and has not been opened since then. Hotel management company "Royal Batoni" took the decision on the closure, which involves reconstruction and renovation of the hotel.
This company has been managing Royal Batoni since 2019. The manager of the hotel, Alina Sarinian, cannot clarify the opening dates of Royal Batoni, although she says that they started working on the project last year.
"After the pandemic, it was decided to renovate the hotel and expand it with several rooms. We started working on this project last year and at this stage we are working on project agreements with design companies. We still don't know how many rooms will be added to the hotel and what amount of investment will be made", says Alina Sarinian.
Hotel Royal Batoni near Ilia Lake was built in cooperation with the "Partnership Fund" and the company "Viniveria". The investment value of the project was USD 2.3 million. The 32-room hotel was launched in 2013 and included a restaurant, a pool, and a conference space. According to the post published on the hotel's website, the management offered the guests tours in different directions in Kakheti.
