In 11M2022, the income from honey exports is up to USD 1 million. According to the official data from the National Statistics of Georgia (Geostat), 213 tons of honey worth USD 972 thousand were exported from the country during January-November.
During this period, the value of exports exceeded the indicator of the same period last year by 81%, and the product volume by 41.9%. The volume of honey sales outside the borders of the country hit a record high in 11M2022 for the last ten years.
Honey was exported mainly to three countries, although small volumes were exported to other countries as well. During this period, the main part of honey exports - 72.1% accounts from EU countries.
