Harvesting process of tangerine has already begun and as of the preliminary data, the volume has amounted to 40 thousand tons.
According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, up to 30 enterprises will receive non-standard harvest.
"As of today, 653 tons of tangerine worth of 295 thousand USD have been exported. The volume of exported tangerine is 138% higher comparing to the same period of 2019. The export value increased by 149 thousand USD.
Tangerines were mainly exported to Armenia (411 tons) and the Russian Federation (185 tons) this year. Georgian mandarins were also exported to Ukraine, Moldova and Kazakhstan," the statement reads.
