The trade turnover between Georgia and China made up USD 1 billion 862 million in 2022, which was 25.8% higher than the total exports-imports rate of 2021. In the trade relations between the countries, 39.5% accounts for exports, China ranks first among the largest partners by exports. Last year, the income received from the sale of goods in China amounted to USD 737 million. The increase was 19.7% compared to 2021. Among the exported goods, the main products are copper ores and concentrates. The income from their sale in China is more than half of the total exports.
As for imports, 60.5% of the trade turnover between Georgia and China accounts for imports, and it ranks third among the largest partners with a 8.4%-share. During this period, USD 1 billion 126 million were spent in China to purchase goods of various names, which is 30.2% higher than the figure of 2021.
