Which Georgian Wine Companies Did Receive Subsidies In 2023?

Five companies have received subsidies in 2023 in order to increase the export, sale, competitiveness and awareness of Georgian wine abroad, - accoridng to the National Wine Agency of Georgia.

As of the body, the budget for the program has been determined by GEL 2 million for the last 2 years. Back in February, 26 companies applied for co-finance marketing campaigns in 2023.

According to the National Wine Agency of Georgia, five companies - "Davit Mikhelidze Family Winery", "BG Wines", "Gevelli", "Winery Chelti" and "Askaneli Brothers" have received the funding from 2023 program.

The body notes, that the companies received GEL 243,281 for co-finance marketing campaigns abroad.

"It should be noted that the interest in the program is increasing y-o-y, therefore, it is a motivation for the wine-producing companies to carry out marketing activities in strategic markets to promote Georgian wine, which allows increasing the interest in Georgian wine, in the end, it will bring more income to the country", the National Wine Agency notes.

According to their information, applications for the 2024 program can be submitted from June 24, and the deadline is August 30.
