In October of this year, prices increased by 12.8% compared to the previous year. According to Geostat, food and non-alcoholic beverages rose in price by 18.4% in October compared to the previous year. The price for vegetables was up by 43%, oil - by 32%, and bread - by 19% compared to the same period of the last year.

Medical services have become more expensive for the citizens of Georgia. Prices in the healthcare sector is grown by 8.4% within a year. Growth is recorded on medical products, equipment, hospitals and outpatient services. Maia Makharashvili, head of the Khechinashvili Clinic, says medical services have not become more expensive with them, but the increase in prices has affected equipment purchase in other countries.

"I cannot say that the medicine prices used by the hospital are increased. Conventionally, there is no change in the price of antibiotics.

Most of the increase was reflected in the medical equipment, I do not mean high-tech equipment, but we are talking about the basic equipment, which is often damaged and needs to be replaced. For example, monitor prices ranged from $ 200-350, now it costs from $ 350 to $ 500,” said Maia Makharashvili.
