A few months ago the Israeli and Georgian governments signed an agreement for granting job visas for Georgian citizens. Ambassador of Israel to Georgia Mr. Ran Gidor explains the reasons why the implementation of this agreement is delayed.

According to Ambassador, implementation of this protocol was delayed because of COVID-19 and bureaucratic obstacles imposed by both governments amid the pandemic.

“Unfortunately, implementation of this protocol has been delayed because of COVID-19 and bureaucratic obstacles on both sides. However, now we get very close to the point, when we can start implementing the protocol and invite the suitable candidates to Israel. The process is fully controlled by Georgian side, government of Georgia and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia”, Ambassador of Israel to Georgia Mr. Ran Gidor says.

The Ambassador notes, that Georgian citizens must keep in mind that no private sector, body or organization is involved in this process.

"So any citizen of Georgia, who is being asked to pay money by middle man or some kind of agent, should keep in mind that this is highly suspicious, because only the governments are dealing with it and not the private sector”, Mr. Ran Gidor declares.

A few months ago the Israeli and Georgian governments signed an agreement for granting job visas for Georgian citizens, who would like to go to Israel for legal employment. Israel invites those persons, who can provide help and look after elderly people in special institutions or their private homes.
