The opening date of Marriott's luxury hotel Paragraph Abastumani has been delayed until 2025, - according to the Georgian Tourism Development Fund.
Along with the change in the hotel's completion date, the project cost increased from USD 69 million to USD 76 million. It is noted that at the beginning of the project, its value was USD 60 million. Accordingly, the cost of the project has increased by USD 16 million.
"According to the data of January 2023, the total investment amount is USD 76 million. The mentioned project is aimed at the same segment as the already well-known "Paragraph Shekvetili" hotel. We will talk about the features and details of the brand a few months before the opening of the hotel and we will provide information to all interested parties" - the Tourism Development Fund notes.
As for the reasons for the delay of the completion of the hotel, the Tourism Development Fund says that the project was postponed due to the pandemic. In addition, the Fund is focused on the opening of hotel "Paragraph Tbilisi".
