Wine exports exceeded 100 million bottles in 2021, - according to the National Wine Agency of Georgia.
The volume of exported wine was up by 14% in 11M21 compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, revenues from exported wine reached USD 222 million, which is 4% more compared to the same data of 2020.
According to the data for 11 months of last year, the dynamics of export growth in the strategic markets of Georgian is maintained: Poland - 29%, China - 26%, USA - 12%, Germany - 13%, Latvia - 10%, Lithuania - 44%, Japan - 12% and Great Britain - 76%.
The growth is significant in the following countries: Canada - 91%, Sweden - 97%, Czech Republic - 259%, France - 6%, Israel - 62%, Kazakhstan - 38%, Azerbaijan - 21%, Turkey - 209%, Ukraine - 11%, Russia - 6%, Mongolia - 174% and Belarus - 26%.
A total of 421 companies exported different volumes of wine from Georgia.
In addition, during the reporting period, 38.2 million bottles of the brand were exported, which is 30% more than the same figure for 2020. Revenue from the exports of brand reached USD 70.9 million.
According to the National Wine Agency of Georgia, 760.3 thousand bottles of Chacha were exported in January-November last year, the increase amounted to 42%. Revenue from the exports of Chacha reached USD 1.9 million; the increase amounted to 42% growth compared to the same period of 2020.
Finally, USD 356.3 million was earned from the exports of alcoholic beverages in 2021, up by 12% compared to 2020.
