"Winery Barakoni" located in Racha is working on the expansion of export markets. Kakhaber Gordeziani, the founder of the company, told BM.GE about this.
"Winery Barakoni" has been operating in Racha since 2016 and offers 7 types of wine to customers, namely Khvanchkara, Tetra, Alexandrouli, Usakhelauri, Tvishi and Barakoni.
According to the founder of the company, the company is exporting its wine to the Baltic States and the Czech Republic for 3 years, and he has sent samples to new markets, namely Germany and Austria.
"From the side of the export markets, our wine is positively evaluated and we have made a tentative plan. Probably, 15,000 bottles of wine are planned to go to the Czech Republic and 10,000 bottles to the Baltics. There is also a demand in the local market and we are developing.
We have been exporting to the Baltic countries and the Czech Republic for 3 years. In addition, we have sent samples to Austria and Germany and we are waiting for the answers", says Gordeziani.
According to him, the company produces 40,000 bottles a year, although it has the growth potential.
