Winery Bimbili, located in the city of Ambrolauri, Racha region, is expanding its export markets. The head of the winery, Vladimer Gurgenidze, spoke about this with BM.GE.
According to him, the export share in their production is 20%. Racha wines are sold in America, Germany, Austria and other countries. By the end of the year, Bimbili wine should also be exported to China.
“China has signed a long-term agreement with us, which provides sending over 35,000 bottles of wine by the New Year. Our partners are building Georgian wine houses in China, where our wine will be sold along with other Georgian wines. Approximately 90% of our wines will be sold at this wine house. The cost of Bimbili wines ranges from USD 11 to 14 on the international market,” says Gurgenidze.
“Bimbili” is the Gurgenidze family winery in Racha. They built a small modern enterprise equipped with the latest European winemaking equipment. At the same time, the old cellar and Qvevry were reconstructed. And since 2020, the wine produced by the farm has appeared on the market.
