Winery "Binekhi" Is Working On Expanding Export Markets

ბინეხი

Winery "Binekhi" is working on an expansion of export markets. Soso Bitsadze, the company's sales manager, told BM.GE about this.

According to him, the winery was established in Zahesi in 1995. However, after the sale, the company was rebranded, after which the brand started selling its wines in 2017.

As of the company's sales manager, the company sells its products in the local market and cooperates with HoReCa sector through its own distribution line. "Binekhi" wines are exported to China, America, Baltic countries and Russia.

"We make a focus on Georgian wine varieties, from Kakheti, Kartli, Imereti, Samegrelo and Lechkhumi. The enterprise is located in Zahesi. We produce an average of 300,000 bottles of wine per year. The main part of our vineyards is planted in Kakheti and Samegrelo.

Products are sold through our own distribution line. In addition, we are actively represented in the HoReCa sector. We export to China, America, Baltic countries and Russia. This year, we plan to add new markets. Now we have negotiations with France and Germany.

Cooperation with the HoReCa sector is the worst. They find it difficult to transfer money on time, despite the fact that the sale is not a problem", said the sales manager.

Bitsadze also talks about climatic problems and states that due to bad weather, the company did not get a good harvest for the last two vintages. In addition, he recalls last year, when 50% of the vineyards planted in Kvareli, namely Eniseli, were in very bad condition.

About 30 people are employed in winemaking "Binekhi".
