Natenadze's Wine Celler has expanded its export markets. According to Giorgi Natenadze, the founder of Natenadze's Wine Celler and "Vardzia Terraces", their wine is sold in a restaurant with a Michelin star in Norway.
As he told TV-Program Business Morning, at this stage Georgian wine occupies a fairly high price segment in the world market.
"During the pandemic and even after, the demand for Georgian Kvevari wine increased from many countries, for example, I entered Sweden, Norway, Finland and Canada. My production is not big, but we must be ready to enter as many countries as possible.
Georgian winemakers have a very good result, for example my wine is sold in a restaurant with a Michelin star in Norway, where it is very expensive to get to, and this, of course, is a great pride.
I was recently in Italy, I don't export a large amount there, the demand is there, but I am trying to redistribute it," said Giorgi Natenadze.
